Karen RonishKaren Ronish was born and raised in Quincy, Wa. Her parents were potato farmers and she worked on the family farm for many years. She graduated from Quincy High School, and worked as a floral designer during and after high school. Deciding to pursue a career in floral design, she attended South Seattle Community College, where she obtained a Certificate in Floral Design, and a AA in horticulture.
While at SSCC, she met and married her husband, Rollie Ronish Jr. They lived in the Puyallup area where he was a logger for a few years. They eventually came to Quincy, where Rollie started work on the family potato farm and Karen returned to floral design in the local flower shop.
When Karen and Rollie accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, they started looking for a bible teaching church. After two visits, to Quincy First Assembly in 1993, the Holy Spirit drew them to stay and make QFA their home church. They spent many years teaching Royal Rangers, Missionettes, Sunday School and Children's Church.
Currently Karen is leader of the QFA worship team, where she plays keyboard. She also teaches Wednesday night crafts, and helps decorate the church. An active volunteer, she can be found at most of the church functions.
Family, faith and spending time with Rollie are things she loves. Taking care of the house, yard, and volunteering in school keeps her busy. She also loves scrapbooking, and making cards.
Her and Rollie recently celebrated their 34th anniversary. They have 4 children, with the oldest one attending Central Washington University, and 3 at home. All are active in church and school sports.
